my xbox freezes with no RROD. Even with no game inside it will freeze up on the dashboard screen. it normally happens within 5 seconds not even giving me enough time to clear the cache. but im pretty sure thats not the problem.., what can be the problem?

My xbox stoped reading my disks. Not the “This disk is un readable.” But it doesnt start spinning. And some times the disk tray doesnt close it just rattles. I used to be able to open and close it a few times and it would work. But now its not reading it at all.
My Grandsons Xbox s will not play it has reading for a few seconds then the tray opens. he has the older model and the slim and they both do the same. What can be done is it a home repair since i have two that are the same problem

Hi i have installed a new laser in my Phillips benQ lite-on disc drive but since i did that the laser will not raise up correctly to play the game and the disc tray just keeps opening and shutting with out spinning the disc at all.any help or advice would be gratefully received.
Hello everyone that wants to fix their xbox,dont buy a new one yet! To fix your xbox 360 (arcade) or (elite) for when it says “open tray” and wont read any games. Step 1,lay your xbox 360 on the floor flat, step 2 put your game in the xbox 360 step 3 with your knuckles or your controller or even a hammer tap your xbox on the side while its laying down for about 6 seconds then it should say play game. I hope it works everyone!!

I followed your steps to get rid of the three flashing lights, it did not work. the xbox went from three flashing lights to two flashing lights and then when i powered it down and then powered it back up the three flashing lights came back on. is there anything else that i can do?

Hi, I’m having some kind of problem with my disk drive, when i put in a CD (movie/game) as soon as i close the disk my Xbox just makes a strange noise two times then it just asks me if i want to open my disk again, just like it cant read it, i’v tried 15 different CD’s so it’s no problem with the disk… what should i do ??
I mite need some one with a bit of xp on this one but I have recently ghost cased my xbox 360 and ever since my xbox has had a litte trouble getting the games to start. it works! I am going to try to replace my disk drive on my 360… I have a hitachi GDR-3120L v47DJ and I was just wondering if I have to replace it with a v47DJ or if I could go with a v59, v74, or v79?

Hey, I been watching your videos on YouTube. And the code on my 3 rings is (0020).And I didn’t have all the stuff I was suppose 2 have. So I cut some rubber off the bottom of some of my old nike’s, and made washers. Then I went in use some car Coolin cream stuff that i had. Then I put it back together, waited to the 3 rings to turn into 2 rings, then I unplug it, and waited bout 10-12 min, then turned it back on. And it worked. So bout 2 days lata my thermal compound cream came in the mail. So I clean the chips back off, in put the compound on it. Then it worked again. But I tryed 2 play it like 3 hours and the 3 rings came back

#1 tip to avoid Xbox red ring of death is to prevent Xbox overheating.
#2 never try to re-solder Xbox your own unless you are knowledgeable at it or you have a repair guide with you.
#3 Don’t wrap the damaged Xbox 360 console with a bath towel, it will not do good to your Xbox.

Hi, The hard drive release mechanism came out when I removed the top hard drive from my 360 Elite…have all the parts not sure if it goes in horizonally or vertically..(I know the eject button you press down with the spring holding it…any ideas let me know thanks.
