Dont have a computer yet to flash, but will eventually. My 360 was flashed by a friend. However, I am having a serious problem. My 360 is having trouble reading all types of discs now. the drive functions but does not properly read. I disassembled my drive (which is, I think, a Ben Q.) and watch it function, the laser turns on, the disk spins a little, the armature that moves the laser bobs up and down rappidly then stops. disk rotation stops, then starts again... then it repeats a couple of times (the bobbing and spinning) then stops. At which point the console acts as if the drive is empty, even though there is a disk inside. I can play with the drive, opening and closing it and eventually the drive will read. But it takes a while before it does that. I am wondering what to do about this? Should I replace the optical hardware? or should I reflash/update firmware on the drive?
