hi there i had a ? more than a commentok here it goes i was moddifing my xbox 360 elite which ive had for 4 years and after that lonf the 3 rrd came up but not for overheating since i upgraded the inter fans with the whisper fans and turn them to turn in 12v instead of 5v like the original and i also places 1 fan in each heat sink since my xbox has 3 heat sink i only placed the fans on two not the gpu but when i was trying to place a better fan on the heatsinks a screw got lost and i shaked my xbox but nothing came out so i try to turn it on and i heard sparks and the 3 rrd came up so later that day i replaced the xclamps but still the same issue happend and it wont get fixed….. there is no other way to fix the xbox or is it …….
please help me

Box says open tray with or without disk how do I fix?
my screen was turning everything red, then eventually i had no picture it just said no signal. I still had sound and checked all the connections, they are fine. whats wrong?

Hey man your videos are very helpful and have got me to my mother board. I now need to go buy that hook tool and some hardware. By chance can you tell me what size the hardware is?
Like the new screws, rubber washers, and bolts? if so that would be really cool.

My xbox was working fine, then for no reason I started getting “mode not supported” on my tv. I can stillhear the sound, but get no picture. I tried four different cables and three different TVs, both HDTV and normal tv. Any ideas? Great vids btw.

hey how come on your video of you fixing your xbox (3 red rings), just after you finished overheating it the color of those circle things change by the heat sink. surely this means you have just used a new xbox

I have what i believe is a unique problem with my xbox… When i put in any game 99% of the time it reads play dvd instead of play game, so i put in a dvd just to see if the 360 will play DVD’s, it does, so i dont think that the drive is completely broken. Do you know what may be wrong?

My xbox was workin jus fine no RRODs, no glitches, no nothing but suddenly while I was playing vertical red lines started to appear on the screen. I thought it must be a problem with the AV cable so I removed it and put it back again but nothing the lines were still there. I turned off the xbox and restarted it now the bottom left quadrant was lit with a red light and on the screen it said somethin about a E74 error.
Note: the xbox had prematurely shut down twice due to a loose power plug.
Please explain in detail what an E74 error is and how to fix it.

Hey, I watched your Youtube videos, and I have learned and accomplished a lot. I only have a question or two to ask.
-Is it routine for a 360 to experience a few stalls and freezes after successfully replacing a disk drive?
-If not, what could be causing this? (I started up my 360 console 4 times: 1st time, it ran well for about 3 mins then froze. 2nd time, ran for about 4 mins then froze. 3rd time, it ran for 10 mins then froze. 4th time, it didn’t want to restart. I had to turn the console on and off 3 times before it started, then ran great for almost an hour before i shut it off.)

sometimes in the dashboard and mostly when i get into a multiplayer match online my xbox displays yellow lines on my screen that distorts the hell out of my tv to where i cant see anything really. Its not my tv or my component cords. what do you suggest?
Hey, I have an xbox disassembled as far as I can w/ out using the hook things or the small star screwdrivers. This xbox whenever it turns on it plays the 360 opening (the Xbox sphere) then it suddenly brings up a huge checkered board and a really annoying sound. I think this is a problem with the graphics card however I need a confirmation. One of my friends on Xbox live (on my other Xbox) said that I shouldscrape off this type of glue on the xbox where I have no idea where this is at and put the rubber washers down. I replaced my dvd drive in my xbox 360 elite which was using a phillips vad6038 with a hitachi GDR-3120L from a older xbox 360. now it will only play dvd movies, and it recognizes my games as dvds and wont let me play them.. Whats the problem???
My xbox has problems reading discs. It takes forever to read the disc and even when i get a new game it takes forever. Just keep opening and closing until the games starts. And in some games it says unreadable disc and its a new game. What could be the problem???
