Hello, I have a very serious problem. My xbox for no apparent reason has just stopped reading disks. This has been going in for a while now and I don’t know what the problem is. Sometimes I’ll shake it and works just fine for a couple days, then I got grounded. One day my mom wanted to watch a movie and when I put the disk in it said read for about 10 sec then open tray. I tried shaking it but that didn’t work. What could possibly be wrong with my drivve? I look it up and look it up but all I’m. Finding is that my drive needs replacing or take to get it repaired. How do I take care of it without going to a shop or store? BTW it’s an XBox 360 Pro. What could be the possible wrongs with my XBox? Thanks!!
Where is the best place to buy parts? I need to put a new DVD drive in my xbox 360 ans was told to come here, but don’t see aywhere to buy the part. Do I trust the Google advertisement for $28.00 drives listed on one of the links??

hey my xbox just took a crap and i was wondering whats wrong with it i took it apart my laser turns on when i power it up and it moves back n fourth slightly but not all the way to the back or in the middle of the game as its spinning then shuts off but keeps spinning trying to read the game then it comes up and says open tray. i have tried everything i think its i beleave the harness or whatever its called the one that has the bronze looking pole that the lens moves up and down on it isnt taking the laser back and fourth where it should be can you help me please i dont have hundreds of dollars to fix or buy a new one…

Just watched your video on how to change the BENQ VED 6038 dvd drive….looks so simple and it is going to save me so much money, just ordered a new drive i will reply once i have replaced it…….hopefully its gona work.

My xbox has that open tray problem, so at first i started lightly taping it on top of the disk tray, but wthat no longer works, so ive started taking it apart but i dont have the right type of screwdriver, do you have any suggestions
