<p>The power supply light is in the middle of your power cord&#8217;s black box on the back of the unit.</p>

<div id="_mcePaste" style="position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 580px; width: 1px; height: 1px; overflow-x: hidden; overflow-y: hidden;">Step 3: If the power supply light is red, is orange when the console is powered on, or is not lit, try these solutions</div>
</div>
<p><strong>Option 2: If the power supply light is orange when the console is powered on, isn&#8217;t lit, or is red, try the below tricks</strong></p>
<div style="padding-top: 10px; padding-right: 20px; padding-bottom: 10px; padding-left: 20px;"><a href="http://services.support.microsoft.com/library/images/support/kbgraphics/PUBLIC/EN-US/XBOX/HW/RoL/3FRLpower.jpg"><img style="margin: 2px; border: 0px initial initial;" title="Figure D: Three lights on the Ring of Light are red and this shows the red, orange, or unlit power supply light too" src="http://services.support.microsoft.com/library/images/support/kbgraphics/PUBLIC/EN-US/XBOX/HW/RoL/3FRLpower.jpg" alt="Figure 4: Three flashing lights on the Ring of Light with a red, orange, or unlit power supply light" width="400" height="100" /></a><br />
Figure 4: Three flashing lights on the Ring of Light with a red, orange, or unlit power supply light</div>
<p><strong>Solution 1</strong>:</p>
<p>Unplug your game console and try plugging the Xbox into a different outlet in a different outlet or a different room in your house. If it remains the same you need a new supply, if not, you have a bad outlet in that room.</p>
<p><strong>Solution 2</strong>:</p>
<p>If the power supply light is still red, orange, or not lit, then you will need to get a replacement power supply.</p>
